Hey everyone! My name is AJ Hirsch and I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old after already being obsessed with music since I was a small kid. Growing up listening to all the classic rock and roll bands like The Beatles, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, etc set me on the path to being a student of the guitar for the rest of my life.
I have spent the past 2 decades learning new genres, studying music theory, performing in both original bands in genres such as Rock, Blues, Pop/Punk, Metalcore, Jazz, Country, and even as a solo instrumentalist.
I started teaching at the age of 18 a music store called “Gorilla Guitars” in my hometown, Columbus, Ga, that I took lessons from during all 4 years of high school. I attended the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media in 2014 where I graduated with honors.
Teaching guitar has become one of my biggest passions, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have fallen in love with teaching virtually, and feel that doing it this way provides a lot of amazing benefits. So, if you are interested in learning something new, expanding on what you already know, or if you have never played at all but have always wanted to, I believe I can help you achieve any of your musical goals!
